Musing Acreage

Lester W. "Les" Nodecker was a loving family man, an amiable friend, and someone you could count on. He enjoyed the simple things in life with a deep passion for farming. In remembrance, I've captured this old tree that resides on the far edge where his 68 acre farm once was. Every time I pass it, memories come rushing back.

This photograph was captured on a cold winter day during a snow squall. Why in such weather? The fierce conditions, in this observer’s opinion, represented the strong demeanor of Les. The contrasting colors between the falling snow and the surrounding plants also prompted ones eye. Certainly a personal piece, it holds a spot in one’s heart and is a poignant part of my collection.
